Julie Lockwood

Julie L. Lockwood is professor of ecology, evolution, and natural resources at Rutgers University, where she currently serves as the director of the Institute of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences. Julie holds a PhD in zoology from the University of Tennessee and an MSc and BSc in biology from Georgia Southern University. She oversees a research program that encompasses biodiversity conservation, invasion science, and climate change. She is a fellow of the Ecological Society of America and of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Beyond publishing research papers, she coauthored Avian Invasions and Invasion Ecology and coedited Biotic Homogenization and Coastal Conservation.
